Daniel Learmont Couture is considered a maestro of bridal and special event gowns.
“I have always been a fan of 50’s and 60’s Hollywood, the jet set lifestyle. I love the kind of clean, dramatic glamour of the period, strong silhouettes in luxurious fabrics like silk shantung, brocade, duchess satin and Chantilly lace”
Daniel is renowned as a bridal designer and couturier widely acclaimed for his talented artistry, fine craftsmanship and classic influence. The designs showcase timeless original gowns that speak volumes of romance. Each custom made gown features exquisite details, stunning beadwork, individual designs with elegant fabrics handcrafting every element of the design.

We design to complement each client’s curves and reflect their individual personality.
“All my designs are custom made. I offer a one-on-one experience for my clients. We sit down over coffee and talk through what they have in mind. I have samples in my studio where they can find inspiration and ideas, and from there I create a gown that is completely original. If a bride wants to be more involved, I love taking clients fabric shopping so they can take part in the process of dressmaking. There is a lot of collaboration between me and the client.
Once they decide on the type of dress, it’s my job to create a design that captures what they want, looks beautiful and makes them feel incredible.”
THE PROCESS
Daniel Learmont Couture specialises in creating unique, one-off garments for women seeking pieces that feel personal and beautifully made. The focus of the atelier is on the individual client, with hand-crafted garments designed to flatter the figure, reflect personality and sit naturally within the wearer’s lifestyle.
Each piece begins with hand-selected textiles sourced from mills in Italy, France and Spain, along with suppliers in New York and Australia. The design process starts with sketching and fabric selection, followed by the creation of an in-house toile for the first fitting.
From the second fitting through to the final collection appointment, the garment is refined and constructed by Daniel and a team of skilled tailors and seamstresses, ensuring a precise fit and a finished piece of exceptional quality.
